Overview:

The VP Platforms is responsible for managing the Technology and Delivery disciplines for Razorfish Health.   The VP Platforms partners with the Razorfish Health leadership team including the SVP General Manager, VP Media, VP Client Engagement & Strategy and the Executive Creative Director to oversee all agency operations for the office.   The VP Platforms is jointly accountable for the Razorfish Health P&L and has ultimate accountability for delivering amazing work in the realm of Technology and Project Management.   The VP Platforms will be jointly responsible for evolving our capabilities and services, driving deep collaboration across disciplines, and inspiring innovation.  This position also actively engages in client leadership and new business development.



Responsibilities:

 

  • Operational leadership
    • In conjunction with the Razorfish Health Leadership team, develop and build out the annual strategic plan for Razorfish Health; own and deliver overarching RF Health initiatives/goals
    • Responsible for driving key Razorfish Health investments in an ever-evolving service offering
    • Deliver the target margin %
    • Prepares both short-term and long-range departmental plans and budgets based on the corporate goals, growth objectives and strategy.
    • Work with team to establish effective pricing, and staffing levels for each client; monitors P&L fluctuations to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
    • Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly
  • Client leadership
    • Serve as executive sponsor and nurture key foundation and high potential client relationships; ensure that all key accounts have a solid account plan in place to grow these accounts
    • Build lasting client relationships and elevate key client relationships to more senior levels
    • Ensure high client satisfaction
  • Amazing Work / Capabilities Development
    • Accountable for leading and inspiring the office to deliver amazing work
    • Deliver work that elevates our position in the client’s and in the industry’s eyes
    • Monitor and evaluate the Razorfish Health structure to ensure we are positioned to meet deliverables for existing clients, accommodate new business opportunities and adjust to changing industry needs/trends
    • Guide and directs Razorfish Health in the development, production, and execution of the agency's capabilities and services to ensure all services align with the agency's vision, core competencies and financial goals
  • Collaboration
  • Thought Leadership / Reputation Development
    • Build our reputation.  Serve as a key voice for Razorfish Health.  Speak at conferences, build rapport with key media outlets, etc.
    • Responsible for building strong ties with technology alliance partners and finding opportunities to collaborate on a deeper level to offer unique products and services to our clients.
    • Orchestrate cross functional teams to drive collaboration and achieve strong client results
    • Champion positive change and a creative, collaborative work environment
  • Team Leadership
    • Ensure open and fluid communication and build community across all disciplines.
    • Build and train the next generation of leaders in the agency.
    • Has direct accountability and manages the overall professional development for the Director of Technology and Delivery Management Discipline Lead.  This includes working with both Discipline Leads and the HR Manager to develop and execute staffing plans to ensure each department is positioned for success. It also includes identifying and fostering existing staff talent to ensure these employees are leveraged effectively.
    • Mentoring and coaching Discipline Leads on an ongoing basis to identify personal career objectives, and provide them with appropriate development opportunities based on their individual needs, balanced with the business needs of the agency
    • Mentor team and champion continuous improvement throughout the organization; achieves recognizable improvements in the skill level and P&L performance of his/her team
    • Aggressively attract, market and recruit top talent for Razorfish Health in this market
    • Empower Discipline Leads to make effective decisions to ensure smooth operations within their departments.


Qualifications:

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a highly collaborative environment to successfully develop and produce the agency's products and services
  • A deep knowledge of technology and senior level experience with project delivery
  • Proven record of building strong client relationships
  • A thorough understanding of advertising, marketing/strategic brand management and agency operations
  • A strong understanding of the digital marketing and advertising landscape and the unique aspects of the medium that impact management of business operations
  • The ability to collaborate with the other VP’s, as well as other executive team members, clients and other business stakeholders to ensure the integrity of company standards and operations
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; including strong presentation skills
  • Strong project management and performance management skills
  • Demonstrated financial management experience, including the development of financial projections, budgets, resources and managing to these appropriately
  • The ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external initiatives/projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment
  • Experience with Healthcare Marketing and/or Healthcare IT is strongly preferred.

 

Education/Experience

  • Master's (MA/MS) degree from an accredited college/university is preferred, and a minimum of twelve to fifteen (12-15) years of experience in advertising, interactive, management consulting discipline or a similar industry required
  • A minimum of four (4) years experience in business/agency management with accountability for staff management, development and mentoring; operational management; and strategy development and execution (business strategy, client strategy, or similar)
  • An equivalent combination of education and professional experience considered.
