VP Client Partners will serve as strategic contact on one of the largest clients or series of smaller to mid-tier accounts. The VP Client Partner will focus on new strategic buying centers, and be the ultimate point of accountability with clients.  He/She is responsible for senior level leadership/guidance to accounts that are managed by Client Partners, Senior Account Directors and Account Directors, and also be able to lead Account Planning sessions with leadership team. 



Responsibilities:

Senior Client and Industry Relationships:

  • Ability to sell full suite of all Razorfish services
  • Owns senior level client relationships and works to contribute strategic value beyond day-to-day operations
  • Shares responsibility for 100% client retention by maintaining mid to senior level relationships allowing us to: proactively identify client risks or opportunities and manage client teams to effectively respond to these client needs
  • Recognized industry thought leader.  Extensive network in a vertical industry, and capable of broadening that network of clients and contacts through speaking and publishing
  • Provide thought leadership to help guide clients in the digital space
  • Acquire and develop long-term relationships with key strategic clients at the executive level
  • Build strong rapport, new and existing clients
  • Ensures that master service agreements (MSA) are in place with all clients in assigned portfolio. 
  • Leverage and support Executive Sponsorship program
  • Ability to qualify leads and close new business

 

Engagement P&L Ownership:

  • Communicates progress of revenue to budget forecast to the team throughout the year
  • Attains P&L targets through a combination of existing business contributions and new business development
  • Works with GVP to set revenue and margin targets by account. Monitors P&L fluctuations to proactively identify risks and opportunities
  • Ensure invoices are on schedule and collect fees using guidelines set by the Razorfish finance department
  • Assists in setting account investment priorities. Executes on investments and monitors progress and results
  • Consistently cultivates a portfolio of new business efforts

 

Team Management:

  • Responsible for running regularly scheduled client portfolio meetings to discuss account health, opportunities, risks, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring core account teams are in place on foundation and HiPo accounts.
  • Lead  highly skilled client delivery teams to enhance and deepen client relationships:
    • Utilize their industry knowledge
    • Identify key issues that are associated with clients within their industry
    • Identify specific challenges and determine priority for them
    • Drive team to solution
    • Share and implement solutions
  • Maintains a low staff turnover across the engagement
  • Assist PM to manage resource management matters to the best interest of the client and region
  • Directly supervises 3-5 employees; carries out and ensure managers carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Razorfish policies and employment laws.
    • Builds team expertise through mentoring and training
    • Works with GVP and other team members to develop and/or promote best practices for the discipline
    • Elevates issues around direct report compensation to manager.


Qualifications:
  •  15+ years of related industry experience, preferably consulting, interactive, agency or direct marketing experience
  • College degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of demonstrated track record of developing senior level client relationships - strong client references are necessary
  • Proven experience in managing teams of 10+ people and in working cross functionally across an organization
  • Strong knowledge or experience in marketing and advertising, with particular emphasis on interactive media, direct marketing, strategy, analytics, technology, and new emerging trends
  • Recognized industry expertise in product and services for one key industry. (e.g. retail, automotive, financial services, tech, pharma) Marketing expertise a plus in existing relationships with Business, IT or Marketing executives within Fortune 2000 companies
