A Razorfish Senior Business Analyst performs many roles and interacts with many different teams across one or several projects. They work hand-in-hand with business clients, designers, developers and testers and are engaged in every phase of the project lifecycle. Some of their duties include: scoping a system, requirements-gathering, producing documentation, managing client expectations and developer constraints, and ensuring system viability through rigorous testing. A Business Analyst communicates well with both business and technical staff, writes clear and comprehensive documents and diagrams and is comfortable with client presentations and training of new system users.



Responsibilities:
  • Participate in gathering Analytics/BI related business requirements
  • Prepare technical design and specifications, develop routines for ETL, and develop metadata required for the reporting database
  • Design and implement custom analytics solutions under tight deadlines to specification
  • Analyzing and interpreting marketing program results to drive future client marketing strategies
  • Working with internal and client cross-functional teams to implement measurement tools, products, and services for online marketing campaigns such as interactive media, E-mail campaigns, paid search, affiliate programs and web site data
  • Presenting and communicating analytics insight to clients
    Integrating metrics and ROI analysis to support strategy development and implementation
  • Preparing case studies of successful optimization efforts to bolster new business development
  • Generating client reports and assist in presenting finding to clients
  • Making optimization recommendations to enhance performance of the clients' digital efforts


Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of analytical and financial methodologies for optimizing and evaluating
  • Marketing, including multivariate analysis, predictive modeling, segmentation, predictive response models, factorial testing, lifetime value, etc.
  • ETL/DTS
  • Logical Modeling experience - star/snowflake schemas
  • Data manipulation skills in MS Excel, OLAP, and SQL
    Experience with online tracking and web analytics tools preferred (CentrPort, DART, Webtrends, etc.)
  • Experience supporting eMarketing, eMetrics, eCRM and consumer advertising groups
  • Experience executing quantitative analyses in the fields eMarketing, eMetrics, eCRM, and online advertising
  • Some experience with SAS, or other statistical analysis tools
    Ability to travel (mostly local) approximately 10%

Experience

  • A Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years experience within a Data Warehouse/BI group
  • 4+ years SQL and Relational Database design and development experience
  • Updated with latest trends in Data Warehousing and Web Analytics technology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment required.
  • Digital/Online Direct Marketing experience a big plus
